We all come across toxic people in our lives at one point or another and how they affect our lives solely depends on how we choose to deal with them.

If you don't want your life to be derailed by toxic people, these tips will help you out...

1) Less is more 🤏🏿

You must understand that when you're dealing with toxic people, you are dealing with individuals who value themselves above all else, including you and the truth itself.

That means anything you share with them will be used however they see fit. Information shared in confidence during a seemingly sweet moment can later be used against you in a bid for control.

Less is more in these cases.

The less you share with a toxic person, the more you can control your peace.

2) Don't. ❌

When you identify that a toxic person is trying to pull you down to their level with manipulative games, it can be tempting to retaliate or try and prove a point.

But the best way to handle them and their games is simply not to play.

Nothing bores a toxic person more than someone who refuses to be a pawn in their childish games.

3) Be inert 😶

It may not always be possible to completely avoid a toxic person, but you can neutralise some of their toxic tactics by simply choosing to be unreactive.

Toxic people are usually quite successful at controlling others, because they quickly identify the buttons to press that will get the desired reactions and they never stop pressing them.

But if you don't have any buttons to press, then what control could they possibly have? Once you can understand your triggers, conquer and control your own triggers not a single toxic person will be able to use them against you.
