What can lead you into an identity crisis?

Many of us experience a crisis of identity at some point in life and the hard truth is that often we are the ones who lead ourselves to that point through...

1) People Pleasing


Every time you place the needs of others above your own you are driving a wedge between the healthy parts of yourself, leaving behind a fragmented distortion of your true essence.


2) Toxic Relationships


The repetitive cycles characteristic of toxic relationships keeps you trapped in the portrayal of a false identity.


This false identity might seem to benefit the other person, but in reality, it drains your energy, wastes your time and inhibits your ability to make that genuine connection with self.


3) Unconscious Living


Going day by day, following the same schedule, revisiting the same thought loops and re-enacting the same emotional responses can make you lose your sense of self, because you are never fully present.


Your true self just remains in the background, neglected and unseen 😢💔


3) Blindly following others


There is a difference between adopting admirable aspects of other people versus blindly following someone down an unknown path.


When you fail to establish your own path in the pursuit of someone else, you can lose yourself in that person. Your energy goes into building up that other person meanwhile allowing your own light to diminish in the darkness of neglect.
