Signs your perspective is skewed

We all think that how we see the world is accurate, but here are some signs that your perspective may be skewed...

1) Depression 😞

When you suffer with depression, it can be incredibly difficult to see things clearly.

Everything feels heavy and burdensome and your view of the world, others and even yourself is a lot more pessimistic.

It's not easy, but you've got to challenge your self-talk. Ask yourself whether those difficult, negative thoughts are rooted in truth or whether they are designed to slowly chip away at your mind. And are they even your own thoughts?

2) You get disappointed a lot 🙄

When reality disappoints you and fails to live up to your expectations, it can make you think that life isn't fair, that people are inconvenient and that you need to do so much more.

But you shouldn't ask yourself why people and circumstances failed to meet your expectations, rather, you should first ask yourself whether your expectations are rooted in reality or fantasy.

3) You rarely reflect 🪞❌

When you don't spend enough time reflecting, you are not rationalising and consolidating your understanding of the world. You're just moving through life blindly with no real opinions.

4) You don't understand how others see you 🤔

It's important to view yourself in a certain way - a positive way - but when you assume that the world sees you exactly as you see yourself, it is sadly an inaccurate way of thinking.

Ignoring, or just simply not understanding, how you are perceived can also make it very difficult to move through life.
