Signs your life lacks balance

For a lot of us, many of our issues can be traced back to a lack of balance within our lives in some form or fashion.

Here are some signs you may notice when your life lacks of balance:


1) Discontentment


Having an overall feeling of discontent towards your life, circumstances or who you are is a major sign of imbalance. And should prompt you to re-evaluate your life and strengthen its foundation.


2) Stress feels normal


When you are operating under a lot of pressure for a prolonged, your mind and body can become accustomed to feeling stressed out.


The longer it goes unnoticed and unaddressed, the harder it can be to unlearn behaviours born out of being in 'survival mode' and replace them with functional ones that allow you to thrive in healthy environments.


3) Escapism


There will always be things that we have to do that we aren't too fond of, but when we dread parts of our lives so much that we feel the need to escape, by way of different vices, THAT is when it becomes problematic.


Why?


Because instead of being present and actively working to improve that area of our life, you're instead 'checking out' mentally. This doesn't help you develop resilience or mental toughness.


In fact, it teaches you avoidance and dependence on victimhood. It strips you of your own power to enact change within your life.


4) Health struggles


Going through health struggles - whether it be mental, physical, spiritual, emotional or social - is a big indication that somewhere in our life is lacking the attention it deserves.
