Signs you lack discernment

The first step to building discernment is to identify that it may be missing from your life. Here are 3 signs you may lack discernment...


1) You regularly feel drained 🥱


When you are frequently suffering from fatigue (physically, mentally, emotionally etc), this is a sign that you are lacking discernment. It shows that there are too many things pulling on your energy that you are yet to identify and address.


2) You are passive 🤷🏿‍♀️


Having discernment means that you are ACTIVELY controlling what you allow in and out of your environment.


When you take a passive approach (e.g. not setting boundaries), you are not being discerning; you are allowing circumstance and other people to control what happens to you.


Discernment is there to protect you, so when you leave your protection down to chance, you are rendering yourself vulnerable to anything.


3) You don't have clear standards 🥴


Discernment is about being able to effectively compare what is good for you versus what is not.


Acting upon these comparisons is only possible once you set standards based on what aligns with you.


When your standards are not clear, you do not have categories to organise the information around you, so you inevitably end up misjudging people/places/things.
