Signs that you have discernment

Knowing whether you have the skill of discernment can be difficult to evaluate, so here are some signs that you have it...
1) Toxic people avoid you 🏃🏿♀️⚠️
Toxic people, consciously and unconsciously, are very good at identifying others who can identify them. In other words, they know exactly who may be a potential threat to their toxic "normal".
You don't have many encounters with toxic people. You come across them, of course, but they don't stick around you long enough for you to experience their full arsenal of terror tactics.
Your discernment is like an "anti-toxic" signal that can be sensed from far and wide.
2) Your standards don't change ⚖️
Most people think they have standards, but as soon as they become desperate enough, they begin to lower their standards or just drop them altogether.
But having discernment means that you value yourself too much to allow anything remotely detrimental into your life. You do not accept anything less than your standards, for to do so would be to willingly leave yourself unprotected.
3) You know how to fight for your peace 👊🏿
As much as it can feel like a burden, peace is not just experienced when you decide you want it; you must fight for it...and fighting for peace looks different depending on the circumstance.
When you have a discerning eye, you know exactly how to maintain your peace. You know what boundaries to set, how to enforce them, when to speak up and when to walk away etc.
This is a very good sign that you have discernment!
4) You embrace the art of letting go 🧘🏿♀️
Discernment is not just about identifying to surface level discord. It requires you to recognise whether something is or is not in alignment with you.
This can often mean moving away from something/someone/someplace and/or moving towards something that is more on alignment with you.
Usually this is a painful process if you have become emotionally attached, however, as a person with discernment, you understand that nothing lasts forever. You are okay with the ebb & flow of life.
You may notice that you tend to arrive at acceptance much more quickly than those around you.
5) You don't accept every opportunity that comes your way 🙅🏿♀️
It can be exciting when opportunities come your way. Sometimes it can be confusing or overwhelming trying to decide which ones to take advantage of.
When you have discernment, these decisions become very simple to make. You can easily identify the opportunities that align with your life's path versus those that will actually serve as distractions to your ultimate purpose.
