5 Ways to Discover Your Authentic Self

Discovering yourself is a process, so here are some tips to help you along your journey to discovering your authentic self:


1) View Yourself Objectively


As you get to know yourself more, you may be surprised at what you learn. It is important that you refrain from judging yourself, and instead show compassion and understanding.


2) Listen to Yourself


No one knows you better than you do. Follow your instincts, listen to your intuition and, as long as you're not harming anyone else, do what is best for you.


3) Embrace solitude


Purposely spending time in silence and solitude allows you to tune in and hear your inner voice.


4) Reflect on Your Childhood


How you were BEFORE the excessive input of others' opinions and rules tells you a lot about your own nature. Don't be afraid to go back in time and rediscover the things you used to like, think, do and say. This just might be the key to your future.


5) Heal


Going through trauma changes us in ways we never thought it could. Taking the time to heal our minds, bodies and spirits will help us tap into our authentic essence and use it as a superpower!
