How to Spot a Dishonest Person

People who don't place much value on the truth sometimes have a great way of avoiding detection, but here a few ways you can spot a dishonest person...

1) They volunteer unnecessary lies 🤨

A person lying when they're put under pressure can be expected. But when a person chooses to volunteer a piece of untrue information that neither adds nor takes away value from what is being said, that speaks to the type of character you need to be incredibly wary of.

The fact that they can so casually bend the truth shows that the truth itself is of very little importance to them. This is someone you would do well to stay far away from, for your own benefit.

2) They place too much value on external validation 👀

A person who prioritises the value the opinions of others above their own has already lied to themselves.

They have turned themself into a performer for the applause of those around them.

Even if they have to lie for those applause, that's what they'll do, because the external approval matters more to them than risking rejection for standing strong in truth.

3) They judge you for being a truth-seeker or truthteller 👩🏿‍⚖️

Instead of admiring the courage and persistence it takes to pursue the truth and be an advocate for it, a dishonest person may mock of humiliate you for it.

Why?

Because that could never be them and they know it. They either resent that you have the courage they wish they had OUR they want to deter you from finding out the ugly truth about them (and what they are protecting).

Whatever the reason, this is a big telltale sign that your dealing with a dishonest person.
