Living in truth is more than just pandering to how you feel and living a soft life. It is about adopting key practices so that truth will become your way of life. Here are some habits that will lead you towards living a life of truth...

1) Spend time connecting with self

Truth comes from within, so the more you spend time connecting with your higher self and understanding who you are from the inside out, the easier it will be to know exactly what “living in truth” looks like for you in a practical sense.

2) Enjoy your life

Being fulfilled in life is the biggest sign that you are living in truth. Take the time to fill your life with things you enjoy.

Do the work you love, engage in hobbies, spend time with people that add to your happiness. All of these things keep you in alignment with your truth.

NB: Remember that your enjoyment now must never infringe on your (or anybody else's) ability to enjoy life in the long-term

3) Stay true to your standards and morals

When it comes to making tough decisions and sacrifices you are really being put to the test. But standing ten toes down and staying true to your morals in these situations is exactly what being committed to truth is all about.

4) Have a plan for your life

Knowing where you want to be in life and how you would like to get there is what you need to keep you on your true path, it allows you to align your thoughts behaviours and habits even when your emotions could lead you astray.

5) Move slowly and deliberately in life

Never make hasty decisions. When you move with intention you make better decisions than when you are under pressure. You have time to reflect on the greater plan you have for your life and move boldly in that direction.

6) Detachment

Once you make the choice to live in truth and begin to prioritise alignment over comfort, you will see yourself losing things you once thought were meant for you.

Accepting that whatever leaves was not meant for you and whatever stays shows exactly what is supposed to be a part of your journey.

But the only way you will know what is meant for you is if you prepare space for it to come into your life; and this can only happen if you embrace loss and accept that not everything you envisioned or wanted will work out in the way you expect it.
