Sometimes how you perceive reality can block you from living authentically especially when...

1) You think your perception is objective reality

In our own way, we all think our views are accurate, which is natural. We can only understand things based on our limited experiences and the few people we interact with.

However, believing that our truth is the only truth that should exist, is when it becomes dangerous.

It blocks you from fully experiencing life, understanding the different sides of true yourself and embracing the differences in others.

2) You lack self-awareness

Only seeing things from your perspective is the fastest way to diminish your self-awareness.

You don't have to allow others to run your life, but you shouldn't completely ignore the opinions of others either.

There must be a careful balance where you can still things from other people's perspective. This is incredibly important in your relationships.

3) Your trauma clouds your perception

When you live through trauma (or even multiple traumas), you start looking at life through a fractured lens.

You move forward with expectations that match the dysfunction of your past and even your limited self-perception way will keep you living as a smaller, less authentic version of yourself.
